Character and Temperament Types: Please Understand Me

Course Objectives

1. Educators will have a working knowledge of the four temperament types that include: Rational, Guardian, Artisan and Idealist personalities of their students and adults in educational and social settings.
2. Participants will take the personality test to determine what temperament type they are as well as their own particular teaching and learning styles preferences.
3. Educators will be able to apply the character and temperament types to classroom and school settings. They will also apply them to inter-faculty relationships and school staff to improve communications, productivity and effectiveness.
4. Educators will respond to the questions about how personality and character traits apply to classroom instruction, student and teacher effectiveness in school and society

Course Objectives

1. Educators will learn various techniques that put students on a path to college by setting high expectations and standards that will ensure academic excellence.
2. Teachers are presented with developing and structuring lessons that engage students and create a well behaved classroom culture that builds trust and character.
3. Educators will view and write about the books DVD video contents that demonstrate 25 actual techniques that can be implemented in the classroom.
4. Teachers are presented with 50 techniques such as pacing, creating rhythm, critical thinking and numerous literacy skills that must be mastered for college success.
5. Teachers will develop writings, lessons and activities that demonstrate the books concepts and techniques so they can then apply to schools and classrooms.

Personality Plus

Course Objectives

1. Teachers will learn about behavioral characteristics of the 4 main character types: Choleric, Sanguine, Phlegmatic and Melancholy
2. Educators will perform the self-evaluation character/personality test on themselves to determine their own character type and behavior style.
3. Teachers will examine both the positive and negative aspects of the character types and learn how to regulate the negative behaviors and/or accentuate the positive characteristics.
4. Participants will explore the resources, role models, discipline and support systems.
5. Educators will research the culture of poverty issue regarding alternative theories and conclusions presented in the book, as well as present a variety of solutions.
6. Educators will develop a written essay assignment, lesson plan, project or activity to introduce the personality concepts into the classroom environment.

Resilience Revolution: Discovering Strengths in Challenging Kids

Course Objectives

1. Educators will explore the topic of resiliency in students and how or why some students are able keep moving through adversity and persevere regardless of difficult personal circumstances.
2. Teachers will examine how to build trust in students who have difficulty with personal trust issues. They will develop ways to identify and use the student strengths, gifts and talents of each student.
3. Educators will be presented with ways of instilling purpose in young people as well self- empowerment regarding students with low self worth so they will behave in a positive manner.
4. Teachers will have the skills and knowledge to utilize the book information to improve their understanding and relationships with students to assist them with personal and educational success.

4. Students will learn to be able to teach values through the curriculum in a cooperative learning structure as well as how to teach controversial issues in schools.

Biology of Belief

Course Objectives

1. Educators will review the new developments in science and biology regarding myths and realities of cell functions, genetic predetermination and the primacy of DNA.
2. Participants will learn about the significant impact that environment has on cellular biology, healthy body functioning, disease and how thoughts affect the brain and body.
3. Educators will be introduced to Epigenetics: the new science of self-empowerment and the laws of quantum physics as they relate to human improvement and behavior.
4. Participants will view The Living Matrix: The New Science of Healing DVD to explore bioengenetic research and knowledge from holistic healers, scientists and psychologists.
5. Educators will examine their professional lives as they relate to working in today's schools and how they can integrate the course content in classrooms and schools.

Positive Thinking and Behavior for Today's Schools

Course Objectives

1. Educators will learn how to go beyond positive thinking to develop right thinking and to realize the power and potential truth about ourselves that we possess.
2. Teachers will examine myths and misinformation about superficial positive thinking and show how to take self-talk affirmations to a higher and more effective level.
3. Educators will be presented with writing samples and techniques for developing effective positive affirmations and self talk for writing assignments and classroom use.
4. Students will be able to use quality positive affirmations to improve their instructional delivery and writing as well as student empowerment and personal success.
